STI engine swap

Hello,

I have a 2011 Legacy 3.6R, and I also have a complete 2008 STI engine/transmission. I am just starting to explore the idea of swapping the STI engine into the Legacy. I have the skills and tools to modify or fabricate the frame, subframe and mechanical components. I don’t know much about the electrical and Ecu modifications that would need to take place. So I’ve got a couple questions.

 

1. Does anyone know what kind of fabrication and modifications would be necessary to fit the STI engine into the Legacy?

 

2. What kind of electrical and ecu modifications would be necessary to integrate this engine into the Legacy?

 

I understand this may be a big project, but I’m just looking at what would be necessary before I explore this idea further. Thank you all in advance!
