ItsjustisaacGT
Bought my Legacy a few months ago and was looking for the DRL relay and found a few connectors under the kick panel disconnected. I connected one to see what it may be to and when I turned my car back on the check engine light was blinking. Half of what I've read says it just needs a hard reset, the other half says it's a misfire. Can someone help? Does anyone have a picture diagram to match a wiring diagram? RumbleRumble
Have you checked the car for codes prior to the light coming on now? Does the car feel like it has a misfire? Are there codes for mifires now? Can you upload a pic to show us the diagram you reconnected.
ItsjustisaacGT
So I figured to go through some steps to diagnose a general issue within it. Fans came on for 2 second off for 2 second then back on for 2 seconds etc etc etc. Ran this up through the ol'elgoogle and sure enough Subaru but this connector in the car to help technicians run diagnostics throughout the vehicle (a self test if you will) and said they come from the factory unplugged. Why? I have no idea, but that's sure as shit what it was. unplugged it like the interwebs said and back to normal!
RumbleRumble
That's where I was getting at. My brother did this when he first got his subaru and was frantic. Hilarious. This is just as common as "Lights wont turn off" because of the parking light switch.
glennda5id
The green connector is for diagnostics. It will cycle all of the ECU relays.
