RobY
I just purchaced a 2005 Legacy GT when I picked up my car the dealer only gave me 2 master keys. Is the car supposed to come with a valet key?
TeeLoo
I was given 3 keys, one of them looking different than the 2 others, I guess it's the valet key. 2005 Legacy GT Wagon Ltd 5EAT Garnet Red 1999 GTI VR6 Black - sold but not forgotten... agctr
This car is becoming more and more everyday like the Honda's of old which I think is fantastic. Honda 1. For years has had a Valet key, what a great idea. Honda 2. Shiftlock is the other. You have to have your foot on the brake to move the car out of gear (EAT models only) another fantastic safety feature. These now both also feature in the Liberty/Legacy. Deer Killer
[quote name='agctr'] Honda 2. Shiftlock is the other. I can also decide if I should wear a seatbelt. The only thing about honda's I will miss is that you can't lock yourself out with the key. In the new legacy the passenger can lock you out of the car by locking the passenger door, then closing it.
agctr
Well that may be true too DeerKiller but these are World Wide safety features and besides, with the Honda, you were unable to pull it out of gear if you didnt have yr foot on the brake pedal and a key in the ignition.......... good for Anti Theft too I say :)
john.di.martino
I only got 2 key. Both look the same. Don't think they have a valet key in OZ. John
agctr
AHHHrrgggghhh, just typical. Thanks John. I think they are a great invention to be honest as stated above. I will have a chat to SoAU and see if they have access to this key for the MY05 model range.
TAckhouse1
whats worse then the foot on the brake to shift out of park... is cars like the BMW 7 series that require a foot on the brake before the car will start. Talk about assinine... -Nick
