My 05 2.5i was rear-ended just outside the SeaTac airport. The guy who hit me, just clipped the left rear. The estimate was $8.6k to repair (apparently there was a lot of suspension damage, the wheel was pushed forward about 2 inches, and some drivetrain damage). Took what they gave me and flipped it into a '18 Mazda6. I tried the CVT Legacy and... I died a little inside. Just not enjoyable to drive.
