Mglass1646 Posted January 9, 2019 Share Posted January 9, 2019 I have a 2015 Legacy that I replaced the Clarion PF-3689 factory radio. The factory radio still works and I want to use it in my shop. I have Metra 71-1761 connectors and a good 12vdc power supply. I put power to the red wire and ground the radio, but no action. How can I do this? fastcar123 Posted January 10, 2019 Share Posted January 10, 2019 Hi Mike, Simply powering the radio isn't enough. The radio requires an ignition input to turn on. just as the radio wouldn't power up in the car when the key isn't in, it the same story here. There should be a wire labeled ignition or IGN. This wire is typically yellow, but you should refer to the manual of the kit as I have never worked with a Metra kit. Once you find the Ignition wire, apply +12 volts on that and you should be good Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
