Subaru factory speaker rebuild

For anyone in New Zealand that is interested, you can get your factory Subaru speakers rebuilt by a company in Auckland called Axent Audio.

The factory speakers in the 11 speaker McIntosh premium sound system in my JDM Subaru are a nightmare to try and replace with aftermarket speakers.

 

For starters they are 8 Ohm and not 4 Ohm and fit into nice plastic nylon mounts. The way the Midrange and the Bass speakers fit in the front doors just makes going aftermarket a no go, just too much work. I have done a number of car audio systems and in fact had a job repairing the stuff back the the 1990's.

 

With all the speakers performing like new, the sound quality is exceptional, simply a waste of time and effort trying to "Upgrade" it.
