Yep my wife's 08 Outback (N/A) averages maybe 1mpg better than my tuned GT which I drive pretty aggressively. She drives like a mom (oh wait she is) but even still around here there's a lot of steep hills, people who enjoy driving 15mph below the speed limit who need to be passed, etc. Sometimes you just have to hit that pedal on the right a little bit, and when you do it's bye bye gasoline. I feel like the slushbox really eats gas too. Even when I've babied that wagon I've never seen much of an improvement over my car, not really anything that matters. To put it into perspective even being super easy on it doesn't save any more at the pump than the days that we don't have time to drive to the cheap station up the street and end up paying 10 cents more a gallon for a fill up near the highway.
