AirplaneMode
Hey guys just picked up an 05 obxt 5 spd manual and the suspension is totally trashed. I've been researching all the options and based on budget and needs I think I want KYB gr2 legacy struts and Tein H tech springs. There's a massive amount of info on this topic, which seems to have left me more confused... Will I need outback top hats or anything to make the struts fit? Can I just use my existing top hats? Will I need legacy bumpstops or should I just trim existing? What else would I absolutely need to make the described setup work? Thanks so much. Please forgive my newbness. Rhitter
Components are the same. You can reuse everything you have to reassemble the shock / spring. You need to do something to make your bumpstops shorter. They are designed to work at their specific length. So basically it's on you if you want to cut them and not buy new ones. Rear alignment will be crap. KCA399 (I think) will allow you to reduce the negative camber by about 1 degree. Also not needed. You will just potentially have crazy tire wear.
