dbrunone
Anyone have a copy of this? I bought a new OEM key for my 2007 Legacy and had it cut, only to realize theres a stupid chip in it that needs to be mated with the car, and there doesn't seem to be a mating procedure in the owners manual or tech manual. Tech manual just says "When the ignition key lock is replaced, all ignition keys also must be registered. (Refer to the “IMMOBILIZER TEACHING OPERATION MANUAL”.)" I don't want to pay a locksmith $75 to do this. Hell, even my wife's Chevy can mate keyless-start remotes by a procedure in the owners manual, this is super annoying. Thanks in advance
johnyaya
A dealer can program up to 4 keys into your system using the SSM (Subaru Select Monitor?) diagnostic tool. They will need all keys to perform the update. I don't know of any other way with Subarus.
