Change Nav “find address” to different state ?

Does anyone know how to change the Nav default to a different state ? When I do “find address” on my 2016 legacy 3.6 it shows new jersey and I have to change it to a different state every time I search out of state.

 

I’ll soon be selling this car to a relative in New Hampshire. That’s why I’m asking.

 

I just updated the maps. When I registered for map update it did ask me my state. I should have said New Hampshire but I did put in New Jersey.

 

I tried using the map update toolbox again to refresh the maps but that option is greyed out.

 

Anyone know how to change the state ? I looked at all the settings for the Nav and didn’t find anything.

In the car upper right of the Nav screen when choosing a location you can click there to choose a location near and change the city and state there.

 

Is this what you mean?

I figured out why there isn’t a way to change the default state (e.g. NH.)

 

By default, the state is the current location. I went to NY today from NJ and the default state changed with my location.

 

My question is now moot.
