How a CVT works - nice pictures and explaination

I believe this was written in 2015 and is probably the reason the vehicles mentioned only go up to the year 2015? The article mentions a chain, not a belt inside the trans but I haven't seen what the material is that was used in making the "chain."

Yup the Atra powerpoint presentations and articles (a handful re Subaru CVTs since circa 2013/14) are decent. We wrote about them and even talked to the authors and webinar presenters a few years ago.

 

 

 

There are a handful of Japanese YT videos, some Subaru marketing, that clearly show the chain and internals of the TR580 and TR690.
