GearJamr
So, due to some issues, I was unable to install my Koni shocks (took the struts/springs to a shop to have them installed, one of the Koni struts was cracked on the top threads = anger). Anyway, put my old shocks/struts back in. Now when steering just off center, there is a groan sound. Put the car back up on jacks, and when turning the wheel, the left side has a rubber "rubbing" sound. Nothing else is rubbing. I slightly loosened the three bolts mounting the strut to the tower and the noise reduced. Played with that a little more and almost eliminated the sound, but not fully, and likely it will be worse with the suspension under load. Is it possible the nut holding the cap on the strut is too tight?
