phillyg
I'm trying to put some carbon fiber trim on the inside of the car, and I'm not too sure how to take out the door card. Do I simply pry it out or do I have to take apart the entire door?
WRX USA
You need to pry out the door handle to access two screws and one screw behind the cover where the door release is.
phillyg
I just realized that I misnamed the the thing I want to remove, sorry! It's the piece of trim that surrounds the window switches that I want to know how to remove. And unrelated, how does the shifter come off (I drive a 2.5i automatic)? Is it screwed on or is there a clip beneath it?
WRX USA
You’ll need to remove the door card first and then drill out the plastic rivets and remove the 1-2 screws holding it to the door card.
