DWColorado
On my Outback XT, the windshield wiper stalk says "Pull to mist", however if you pull, you only get wiper swipes and no mist? You have to press the button at the end of the stalk to get a mist. Is this a "misprint" on the stalk or is something messed up on mine? No big deal, but just curious if everyone else's works the same way?
MSB
Mine works the same way. Pull for one wipe of the screen, maybe best used in misty conditions.
agctr
Hmm sounds a bit strange unless they are using old stalks from the MY99 - 03 as it is pull to mist, hmm curious...
TLS
Mist is a term used for a light rain. When you'd need one wipe real quick. Not enough rain to use delay wipe even.

inthedeck
that's the way that it is on the '02 WRX. I wasn't used to it at first, but then it became second nature, so to speak. Later, i.
praedet
I have seen this on quite a few cars, it is not a mistake. It is simply a function to allow the driver to activate the wipers for a single sweep when in a "mist" (very light rain, or behind a car/truck that went through a puddle). The washer is a completely separate function.... Ted
