icen
Hey guys, i'm thinking about adding some insulation between the wheel and the passenger cabin. I took a look in the wheel well, and seems like there's a piece of plastic sot of covering half of the well. Does anyone knows what's in behind that piece of plastic? it doesn't looks waterproof, so not sure if stuffing insulation there is a good idea that water can gather there and rust. upstater
most professional soundproofing materials for cars are installed inside the car, under the headliner, carpets, behind the panels... because trapping water in strange places, or creating unpredictable issues (like will that spray foam cause damage to brake lines, electrical wiring, tubing, etc that are under those plastic wheel well liners?) probably is a bad idea. If it was a good idea, manufacturers might already be doing it...
icen
That's true. I'll see what I put out inside the car to lower the road noise It's been pretty annoying lately
