jras312 Posted March 5, 2018 Share Posted March 5, 2018 The front dif was trashed so I just went ahead and got a hold of a used trans to swap in. I was told it had around 120k miles on it and it looked to be in much better condition than the one I had in it. Got everything put back together and the trans seems to shift through all the gears fine and at the right rpm range but there are a couple problems... -gear shift indicator doesn't light up on the speedometer gauge -pressing the brake doesn't release the magnetic trigger in the shifter (brake fuse is not blown) -CEL began flashing about 5 minutes into the first test drive, scanner shows code p0302 (swapped #2 and #4 wires and CEL reads the same?) -trans will not downshift when selecting on the gear shifter I'm not really sure what to look for here. Guess I might learn how to rebuild a diff and just keep my old trans? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
