Exhaust flex sections... Where are they?

I may be missing something here, but looking at aftermarket exhaust products for my '07 Spec B, and I find very little offered with flex sections. The only things offered (that I've found) are crossover pipes and up-pipes (where as the factory have none). What about down-pipes? If anything should a have a flex section, I would think it would be the down-pipe. I know the factory uses a donut gasketed pivot joint at the end of the down-pipe before the cat-back, give some flex in the exhaust system, but from what I can tell, if you go to a 3" cat-back and down-pipe, that all goes away. Am I wrong? I could just not be seeing it
