becauseican Posted January 7, 2018 Share Posted January 7, 2018 I have an 05 OBXT, that only has one key & fob. I have a complete 06 LGT parts car that has 3 keys and fobs. I would like to have more than one key. Can I just swap the ign cylinders with whatever electronics attached to it from the 06 or will still need to be programmed to the OBXT ECU? Gex Posted January 7, 2018 Share Posted January 7, 2018 I believe you would need the BIU, ECU, Ignition cylinder, you would also need to change out the door cylinder. You would then need some kind of tune on the 06 ecu to run the OBXT as they have slight variances. Wouldn’t it be easier to just order and reprogram a second set of keys.
