lsherwoodrmgmail.com
I bought a nice looking legacy wagon 35th GT. When I look for parts none of the pull down menus for any online parts stores list 35th gt, it's all 35th l model. What should I choose for accurate parts I'm waiting for a drive shaft to ship so I can install, im going to have to do something about the front carrier bearings the output shafts to the CV shaft have too much play for my liking. So I think I'm just going to do a tranny replacement. Any info on this would be great. Merry Christmas.
RumbleRumble
all 35THs are Ls' the only mechanical difference is that you don't have the LSD like the GT's do. Rest is cosmetic.
Infosecdad
http://www.cars101.com/subaru/legacy/legacy2004.html RumbleRumble is right. In 2004, the L SE was renamed “35th Anniversary “. There is no 35th GT model.
lsherwoodrmgmail.com
The hatch says GT not l, the front quarter panels say 35th anniversary edition. Even the dealer window tag says GT 35th. As soon as it light enough outside I can snap a phot. Thanks for the info anyways
Infosecdad
Is it the original factory dealer window tag? I'd love to see a picture of it, as far as I knew (and researched) Subaru didn't make a 35th GT; but I'd love to be proved wrong. Can you provide the first 10 digits of the VIN? That would describe what it was from the factory.
lsherwoodrmgmail.com
How do I post a pic without a URL? When I get home from work I'll get vin
Infosecdad
You need to open "Go Advanced" on the reply, details in this post: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/load-pictures-and-files-sites-server-251315.html?t=251315 Biggest problem people seem to have is photo dimensions too large, I usually make sure the longest side is <3000 and I don't have any troubles. Infosecdad
No problem, sorry, wish it was a GT with a 35th sticker on it :-) At least you know how to look up parts for it. If you have a manual, you can use this tranny chart to find what years have similar transmissions. https://www.rallispec.com/downloads/Transmission%20ID%20Chart_Public.pdf
