GreyGT
Hi All, Went for a long drive last weekend for a about 1hr45mins and just before I stopped the car a message or warning was displayed on the little screen by the speedo. It was probably on there for about 2 seconds so couldn't take a photo. It was a few words in Japanese with a number 2. I was trying to find an example of it on google images and manuals but no luck. Does anyone know what this message or warning could be? Below is a pic of the screen by the speedo i'm referring to. 2006 JDM Spec B Legacy GT Thanks in advance. Infosecdad
In the US there is an elapsed time meter that flashes for a couple seconds every hour. I wonder if you just hit the 2hr mark as you stopped and that it what you saw.
GreyGT
I haven't seen it before. I have driven for over 2 hours before but never seen that warning.
MilesA
Were you adjusting the brightness of the instrument lights? That changes the display for a few seconds to say the level of brightness you have set. There are a few members here that can read Japanese. Maybe one of them can shed some light. WRX USA
That’s just the fuel consumption readout. The top is current and the bottom is average. You can use the Google translate app on your phone with the camera and read anything you want.
MilesA
He posted that pic just to show the screen where the message was displayed. He got some other Japanese message with the number 2. I'm guessing it was the illumination level.
GreyGT
No sorry I wasn't adjusting the illumination level.
