Wannabegt
Hi everyone, I’m new to the forum and just looking for some help if anyone has answers! I’m looking to put LED’s in my cupholder to add a little light to my center console. I think I have a good understanding on how to install everything, but I’d really like to spread the light the entire way around the cupholder if I can. Obviously this requires some sort of Light diffuser. Now from my understand the 2010 models came with a light diffuser in the cupholder already, but the later models did not come with one. My 2012 has a space for the diffuser, but there isn’t one. I’ve done some research, but can’t find this Light Diffuser anywhere. Has anyone else been able to find it, or create one? Thanks for any help, and you can refer to this old thread for further understanding! http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/my-interior-illumination-mod-lighted-cup-holders-155713.html?t=155713&highlight=cupholder
GTEASER
If you want the factory cup holder diffuser, you need to buy the entire 2010 cupholder. Or get one out of a 2010 at a salvage yard. 2010 Outbacks too remember. Part number is listed in my post. http://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=5653352&postcount=62 Some guys have used a clear vinyl tubing that you can get at Hope Depot, but I am pretty sure that that is discussed in the thread you linked. Thanks! I’m gonna check my local junkyard first, like you said. I haven’t seen that thread before, but that looks great and I really like the red color.
