cluesblues Posted September 10, 2017 Share Posted September 10, 2017 My mom borrowed my car a couple of weeks ago, and after returning it now makes a weird whirring noise at speed in gear. Similar to this but not quite so loud: No warning lights, car drives fine still. Doesn't sound or feel as though anything is horrifically broken, just an odd noise. Took it on a 1200km road trip and no drama. My car has 230,xxx km and it's on the original clutch if that matters. Don't think it's a throwout bearing as it seems to make the noise only in gear, most notably in 3rd and 4th. Anything to worry about? Anyone else have this?
