It would only rub inside part of the liner when going full lock or over big dips and bumps. I wonder if it would have made any difference with a 2.5 engine instead of the heavier out front H6. It was probably the offset of the wheels. If I had these tires mounted on Legacy wheels with the higher offset it would probably be a bit safer on the outside, but rub inside.
