Crotchasaurus
I recently deleted one cat, a resonator, and my muffler off of my 2002 LGT Wagon. It sounds pretty good as it is right now but I want something a little more aggressive and less raspy. Would buying proper UEL headers give it a deeper sound? The guy that did my exhaust added 3" to one side of the headers, but I don't know if it is enough to get the full rumble sound that a lot of Subarus have. How uneven do UEL headers have to be to get that deeper sound? I'll take any suggestions into consideration. Thanks. RumbleRumble
A resonator will make it less raspy.
Somac
UEL headers are like $100. It would cost more to have an exhaust shop hack up your stock header like than that it will be to just replace the headers. Put a good resonator on there and your rasp will lessen. Setnev
You happen to have a video of how it sounds like that? I'm contemplating replacing my second cat with a straight pipe but leaving the resonator.
