The humongous avatars and signatures that some boards allow sometimes make it difficult to find the actual posts. This board currently has a very clean and user-friendly look to it, which makes it easier for new people to get up to speed. If there's a way to keep the physical size the same, but allow fancier gif's by allowing more kb's, I don't have a problem with that, although I could see how they might be distracting.
