DEADdem
Just got my hands on a Legacy 2.0I, since I'm used to driving a (shitty) 2013 Toyota Yaris, it feels like a race car. I have noticed something, which I'm not sure is normal: When accelerating, It has very normal speed increase until ~3200rpm, then it just puts me in the back of my seat (a good thing - The RPM doesn't go up any faster and the engine doesn't make any different sound. I can just suddenly feel a sharp speed increase after a certain RPM. The thing making feel a bit odd is, my car isn't the turbo version. Car passed a pre purchase inspection with only a CV Joint boot needing replacing(easy). Thoughts? Cheers

thatgarrett
That might just be the torque curve of the flat 4, they come on much more suddenly than other NA engines I've driven (especially inline 6)
RumbleRumble
torque kicks in more over 3.5 on my 2.5 the 2.0s are a bit better on the low end. If you want peace of mind just change the spark plugs out with NGKs.
