subiboxer Posted June 21, 2017 Share Posted June 21, 2017 Hello, Subi community. I have a 1997 legacy GT 2.5 with bad engine and transmission. My brother has a 1999 legacy GT 2.5 with a good engine and transmission, but his car was recently hit on the side. Since both cars are GTs with the 2.5 engine, I'm wondering if I could do a clean swap of the 1997 GT engine and transmission into the 1999 GT body. Does anyone in this forum have experience with this type of swap, and what might I need to be mindful of to make sure everything squares away with this type of swap?
