Sventastic
The 5mt trans is going out on my 2003 legacy. I found a decent deal on a 2006 spec b 5 speed. I have two issues: 1) Spec b trans uses male axles (no stubs), the '03 uses female axles (has axle stubs). If I understand correctly, I can insert 4eat axle stubs with corresponding axle seals into the stubless trans. Can anyone confirm? 2)Does anyone know if the speed sensor is plug and play? The information I have found is on older 2.5rs's and such.
RustyRuu
Its a six speed too so the axles are r180 there are bearing races around so that you can run r160 outer axles to fit your knuckle/ hub. You will need to match the final drives and get a drive/ prop shaft too since its different. Six speed swaps are even more than what's listed there are sticky's above this section about it. Edit... sorry saw you said it was a 5 speed, probably not a spec b then
