John07
So my car has the grimmspeed 3 port solenoid: http://www.grimmspeed.com/electronic-boost-control-solenoid-3-port-subaru-08-14-wrx-05-09-lgt/ and a Mishimoto induction hose: https://www.mishimoto.com/subaru-wrx-silicone-induction-hose-08-14.html On the diagram for the solenoid, it shows port number 1 going into the center input of the induction hose. http://i.imgur.com/4Gm3tl1.jpg What I noticed on my car is that port number 1 is just open to the air, and the center port of the induction hose is just capped off. http://i.imgur.com/XS6UVaEl.jpg So why wouldn't it just be connected? Is there a benefit to it just being open as opposed to venting back into the hose? Should I try connecting it? Yes, this is not a part that I installed, it came this way. Thanks for your thoughts on this.
