willmonts
I couldn't find anything on this in the search. I am currently figuring out exactly how I want to go about lowering my OBXT to Legacy height, and I would like to keep it as inexpensive as possible. I know that if I swap Legacy struts and springs it will work, but if I can I'd like to stiffen up the rear a little bit, without going lower than a stock LGT. I have seen people put Outback wagon rear springs on LGT struts in an LGT wagon, but I don't like the slightly increased height that this setup gives. My question is: would Outback sedan rear springs on Legacy struts get a wagon to around LGT ride height? As I understand it, this would give a slightly stiffer setup because the longer Outback springs would be preloaded on LGT struts, but would yield a lower ride height than Outback wagon springs preloaded on LGT struts because on the increased weight of the OBXT wagon compared to the sedan. Has anyone tried this or is there something wrong in my thinking?
