KRM
I've been sitting with the idea that lowering my sedan would be a cool idea, but the roads are a bit treacherous throughout my neighborhood that it keeps me from doing so. I've already got the whole kit ready to swap in. And selling and buying coils would defeat the the reason I got the set..really cheap.. I want the sporty ride and flat handling. Just not so much of a drop. Combining the kit and the 1" lift got my attention to try. Has anyone tried such an idea? Or am I crazy?
Rhitter
I did it. I had 3/4inch in the front and 1.5 inch in the front. The Bilstein / JDM top hat is different and you will need to widen a spacer to get it to fit. Normal spacer for a Legacy top hat on a Bilstein / JDM top hat. http://i.imgur.com/CmxSkqs.jpg?2 My OBXT build
I Donated Too sigmafour Posted February 6, 2017 I Donated Too Share Posted February 6, 2017 I put a 1" lift in the rear with my Bilstein HD's and Eibach's - Very happy with the overall handling of that car.
Infosecdad
I put 1 1/8" spacers on the rear of my wagon with JDM Bilsteins and added a WL 20mm RSB, absolutely love it. It must be just the front top hats that are a different size, no fit issues with the rear.
Phate
Wouldn't recommend the lowering spring/lift spacer combo for up front. At that point you'll have a reduced suspension travel of a lowered macpherson strut car, at near-stock height. Not sure where you'd go about finding stiffer stock-height springs for these cars. KRM
Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/262216422863 This is what I was looking at. I also considered king springs for stiffer stock height. Maybe I should just try the combo and kick it around until I can make up my mind. Cause things always change....
