alsdeb
Filled up the car today (2017). I noticed the mpg was going crazy afterwards...jumping from 12 to 99.9, back to 20.5, etc. Just back and forth. The miles till empty said 540, then jumped to 550. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way to reset it or do I need to take it in. I've got less than 1,000 miles on it.
pseank
Nothing wrong here. When reset average acts like instant until it has miles on it. Without data from miles if you are on the throttle the average I'd 12. Coasting it is 99. The miles to empty are calculated from accrued data as well. MrCobbs
On the bottom left of the steering wheel press the top or bottom triggers to change it from Instant MPG to an average or the current speed you are traveling.
SuperSub
I had a similar thing ion the weekend on a long trip. Also make sure you are on the average mpg not the instant as that will change constantly. When I filled up at told me I have 550kms til empty, after about 80kms it had gone up to 640kms. As said before it has a default mpg that it uses and adjust when it gets more info.
