RaceRedFiveOh
I got a block test kit and tested it from cold start all the way to 205 deg, and even a few hard revs. Some bubbling occurred in the reservoir, and my coolant levels have been funky for a while which is why I got the block test kit. I also further inspected the head gaskets and they appear to be fine, what I had originally thought were the heads was actually the valve cover, which is leaking oil. So now I'm pretty happy as the valve cover gasket is a much easier and cheaper fix, but that still doesn't solve my reservoir bubbling issues. I'm going to drain and refill the coolant according to the vacation pics, to make sure its purged properly. I replaced a cracked radiator a few months ago with a Koyo, and got a matching radiator cap from them as the OEM one wasn't really fitting. But if it's properly purged, the radiator cap is good, and the timing belt and water pump were changed 4 yrs/ 20k miles ago, along with a T-stat and whatever else is in a typical timing belt job. So what would be next?
whitrzac
Make sure you have the correct cap on the rad and on the top res. Just go buy new OEM ones. Buy this for purging coolant https://www.amazon.com/Lisle-24680-Spill-Free-Funnel/dp/B00A6AS6LY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1485908081&sr=8-1&keywords=coolant+funnel
RaceRedFiveOh
Okay so I managed to get the factory one back on, I noticed the aftermarket one I had was higher pressure, I'll have to watch it. Probably gonna replace the Tstat just to be sure.
