Jdubgt530
I recently install my speedyracer Uel headers and noticed that from the passenger head the header was really close to the oil pan. I hit my buddy up about it and he said he got an sti oil pan and pick up but can't remember what year exactly worked for him. I was wondering if anyone knew which year I should look for my ej25d. wtdash
Not the answer you're looking for, but due to the PITA to swap, could you just put some Heat Wrap on the header? Should be less work and probably cheaper.
Jdubgt530
When I installed them I wrapped the headers in titanium wrap. It's literally almost touching the oil pan so I would just feel more comfortable to replace the oil pan to fix the problem. Thanks for the advice though! Jdubgt530
I was planning on doing it when I pull the engine for the rear main, oil separator, and clutch. Have a bad leak going on that's all over the transmission and cros member
Rhody
This might be helpful. https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1756427&page=2 I believe your oil pan is part number 11109AA053 which is the same as the OEM 2002-2005 EJ20 WRX Oil Pan. I do not know if putting an STI oil pan on your car would fit with your headers however. Good luck!
Senseless1
I've read about people using this pan as an upgrade for the older EJ motors, but not sure how fitments would be for your setup. Are your headers the NA headers or turbo headers?
Jdubgt530
NA Uel headers from speedyracer.
killerbmotorsport
Just to follow up, any pan can be used on any EJ engine since the blocks are all the same from the bottom. You just need to be sure the corresponding pickup and baffle is used. Switching to the 06+ Sti pan is a good intermediate upgrade providing some insurance from oil starvation in the corners. The other nice thing about going with this pan is that it will fit ANY headers out there. Even ours
