rayeve
This may be the dumbest car question I've ever asked, but I recently bought a 2009 Outback 6. For the life of me, I cannot find the trunk release lever inside of the car. There is an wide indentation where it usually is on Outback and Legacy over the years (on the floor next to the driver's "door foot." And a picture in the manual that even looks like that's where I'm supposed to look (I think!!! -- picture is very ambiguous). Can anyone tell me if there IS an interior trunk release device, and (if so) where to find it on the '09. Thanks!
ehsnils
No, there isn't one. It would be too complex to route it to the lock in the rear gate. Same with the wagon.
Max Capacity
Yep, the gate is unlocked when you unlock the doors. Just go back to the hatch and open it. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
