Hey All,

 

I'm planning to install this air fuel ratio gauge and sensor and was looking for your input on a few basic questions.

 

1.) Can I use the extra O2 bung next to the turbo flange on my Cobb Catted DP for the sensor?

It's only 3" from the turbo flange and page 10 of the attached instructions state:

 

"The sensor should be placed at least 18" downstream from the exhaust port. If you anticipate high EGT's (over 800C) or run a turbocharger... then you must mount at least 36" or more downstream of the exhaust port as this can cause the sensor to overheat."

 

I'm guessing Cobb put this bung here for a reason and this is exactly where people are putting these sensors. I just question it based on the generic install procedure.

 

 

2.) What are some examples of how the optional analog output and serial output are used? Does anyone have an example of the connector they used for these wires? The manual references RS232 cables but I'm not sure I understand why or how an RS-232 cable would be utilized...

 

 

3.) Do you have an A/F gauge and/or wide band O2 sensor? If so, why or why not? Is this required by most tuners?

 

 

 

I initially purchased this to monitor engine performance but seeing as I can do this using my AP2, I'm wondering if I truly require this.
