jonnyt88
http://i.imgur.com/IclD9OT.jpg Its like it was loose then got bolted and smashed in there. I could probably yank it right out, but I don't know if I should. Its on the passenger side I have a coolant leak I am trying to diagnose.

WahooNo2
is that an engine mount?
jonnyt88
yes it is, passenger side, but does the rubber belong there? Is it falling off, or did someone half ass a job? The rubber just flopping around there. I can leave it, as it doesn't seem to be harming anything.

quick4dr
Group N, plenty of forum vendors can get you squared away and likely in the mail today.
jonnyt88
It's a grease filled rubber mount. Well that explains why the back of the plastic skid tray weights an extra 5-lbs with all the sludge built up on it. downsides to not replacing it right away? I know the car vibrates a bit more than I expected at a stop in D. {not to the point where I am wondering if it will blow up or anything like that}. Never replaced a motor mount either.. This should be an adventure!
Gex
I would replace as soon as you can. Excess vibration will lead to more knock which could hurt the motor. I run the group N hardened rubber mounts. Well worth the coin.
whitrzac
That was the factory motor mount. I fixed that for you. I would replace it soon, but your car probably won't blow up if it's left. At the very least, pick up a set of solid rubber ones from any other subaru EJ engine. You will need the mounts AND the brackets for them. The group N mounts are harder rubber, and come with the proper brackets for ~$110 a pair.
