Max Capacity Posted October 6, 2016 Share Posted October 6, 2016 I don't understand why it only has valve train noise in boost...what's is sound like at idle or when you rev it and hold it about 2000rpm in neutral ? At that mileage is it still on the turbo that came in the car ? Have you ever checked for shaft play on the turbo ? 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
