BassAdd1ct
Hi guys, so i installed a boost gauge and i cant figure it out properly.. The old owner installed a boost gauge, but he butchered all the lines and looped it all and taped them back together with duct tape.. Dodgy.. So i went and got a bunch of straight joiners and a boost gauge, iv installed the gauge and tried all the lines the old owner butchered, the best result iv gotten is no reading until 4k rpm then it reads up to 15psi.. The car boosts and drives fine but i cant figure out which line to get the gauge to read both turbos.. So i did a bit of research and found alot of people used line 10, which i cannot find at all, others have said line 22 which read up to 10 psi, line 8 reads up to 15psi, others also said straight off the manifold or the BOV, but those only got readings of 2-3 psi.. I have no idea what to do next.. Heres what the bay looks like at the moment http://i64.tinypic.com/2hdd4er.jpg http://i63.tinypic.com/mhbtzm.jpg http://i66.tinypic.com/nbzvw6.jpg
AgentSmith
Hi there, it's hose 10. On the vacuum box you will see the hose at the bottom under hose 8. Hose eight is numbered on the hose but somehow my hose 10 is not. Put in a T barb to run your to your gauge. And shorten the hose... I recommend changing the plastic hose I see to the more durable hose to with stand the heat from the 2 turbos. You can send me a pic of the hose you choose for verification Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
BassAdd1ct
Thanks, this is what i have http://i65.tinypic.com/1605ywy.jpg The line that shows 1 is under 2 hose 8s, which are wrapped together, then above those two there is another hose 8 that is wraoped with hoses 5 and
AgentSmith
Wow. Ok your hoses are put back up wrong. Mmmmm see if this pic will help you. It's up to you to follow the picture and reroute the hose correctly but that your choice. So from your pic it does look like your hose 1. But follow the pic above. BassAdd1ct
So i need to plumb it into the primary duty solenoid.. Ill try that.. Hose 1 made the gauge sit on -10 and when boosting wen up to 0.. Its rather frustrating
BassAdd1ct
Well the boost gauge is the least of my worries now, the gearbox blew up.. There was a bang on take off and it just revs out now, i was able to push it home but its got no gears :/

BassAdd1ct
Years of swapping owners who thrash the hell out of it.. Im looking at my options.. Iv got my outback still so im in no immediate rush to get it fixed.. Im thinking a second hand box to get on the road quicker, save up and get this box rebuilt, or go all out and put an sti 6 speed box in
