Legacy After Market Stereo

I apologize if this has been posted somewhere, if so please re-direct me with a link. I have two 12" kicker subs and amp installed in my 2013 Legacy 2.5i but hooked up to the factory stereo. I'm not happy with the quality of sound, so my plan is to hook up an after market stereo. Anyone have any idea how I could go about doing this but still be able to keep the steering wheel controls and mic. Any instructions and suggestions of stereos would be greatly appreciated.
