mripod64
Hello all, ive recently joined to ask a couple questions About ecu swapping and tune-ability. i have a JDM EJ20 Twin Turbo with harness and ECU, now Tuning for the E20TT is extremely limited (at least here in the states) so that will make it quite difficult for me to tune the ECU for running 90 octane (That's the highest we have in Alaska) The only company that i found (Enduring Solutions Limited) that can do anything with these engines hasn't responded to my attempts at contacting them. so as it stands my options are -Meth Kit -Standalone ECU But then i discovered something while searching for information about standalone ECU's, and i found that a 97-02 Forester SF5 ECU has the exact same plugs as my EJ20TT ECU! So now that youve heard the story, heres the question. Can i use the Forester SF5 ECU and simply have it tuned to run my engine?

west_minist
Tuning the ecu is very easy. I have done many of them including the S401. http://xtremeracingtuning.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=88&t=550 What is important is the year. 2001-2002/3 is easy tuneable. But I would say to you that rhe single conversion is better, but the engine response would not be the same. Hence why TT owners keep it. PM me if you need any more information.
