fx4me
It's been a while since I've perused this forum but I picked up a 2007 Outback 2.5 a couple months ago. I've occasionally noticed a burning type smell and have detected something pooling on top of the engine block. Whatever is leaking is doing it very slowly and only on the passenger side. Can anyone give me an idea of what it could be? http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b105/woodyguy791/20160507_185731.jpg Thank you in advance. pseank
Power steering fluid is #1 choice but I had a split pcv under the intake. Most of that leaked down the back making me think it was the turbo return. Clean and drive paying special attention to the PS pump. Burning smell surprises me so check axle boots too as they will sling grease on the exhaust. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
