ultimakf7 Posted October 5, 2005 Share Posted October 5, 2005 I don't think I've seen an answer to this question yet, but my dealership confused the crap out of me when they said I should bring my car in for the first oil change at around 3500 miles. I went onto Subaru's website, and they're saying that the first oil change should be 7k. Does anyone know which is right? I sure as hell don't want my oil cooking for too long in my car, haha. gfxdave99 Posted October 6, 2005 Share Posted October 6, 2005 The service manual may say 7, but that is under very light use, under heavy to severe (which is normal use for most people) it cuts that in about half, thus where the 3500 number came from.
