Rear Lower Control Arm

Recommended Posts

Damaged the passenger side rear lower control arm on a 2012 Outback (see pictures) and trying to find a replacement. It looks like the Moog K100093 is the go to part, which is $150 on Amazon or $100 on eBay with a questionable seller.

I've also found [ame=http://www.amazon.com/SPC-Performance-67660-Adjustable-Camber/dp/B00DJBPN8G/ref=pd_sim_sbs_263_1?ie=UTF8&dpID=4188kyrE0WL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=1PMVCZ27VEM3KZNWN5PR]this SPC 67660 adjustable camber arm[/ame] which looks like the right part, but I'm not sure since it's called a camber arm vs a control arm and it took a fair amount of digging to find something stating it fits the Outback. I'm also not clear if I would have to replace both or if I could leave the good stock (driver side) one and only replace the damaged one if using this particular part. I know normally only the damaged one would have to be replaced but with the extra adjustability of this one some peoples' comments seem to indicate they should both be replaced.

Finally, there's 20250AJ04A ("Item #11") here which is by far the cheapest at only $45, but this one doesn't seem right both due to the price (OEM part that's far cheaper than aftermarket) and the fact the part doesn't look right in the diagram.

I could really use some help in figuring this out. Don't feel like spending >$200 on a part I can get for half that or less, but also want to make sure I get the right part. Any other links are appreciated as well. I'm planning on calling the dealership tomorrow to see what their prices are as well as see if I can find anything in a nearby junkyard.

Called the dealership and had them look up the part using the VIN. They couldn't even find a rear lower control arm, but they do have a rear lateral link which per his description sounds like the part. So now I don't know why, if that's the right part, I'm finding parts that look like the right thing by searching for a control arm. And the lateral link from the dealership is $60, so much better assuming that's the right part, but it's actually more expensive on the second site I linked which makes no sense (they appear to have a part that costs $100+ for only $45 yet a part that costs $60 at the dealership they charge $89 for), and on their parts diagram it looks even less like the right part. In fact, on that diagram, the part that looks the closest in #2, the trailing arm. I'm at a total loss here.

I found the part # (20250aj04a) after some more searching, and after shipping the cheapest I've found it is only $5 less than at the dealership, so I guess I'll get it there if I do end up replacing it. At least now I know how better to determine the part, just start at parts.subaru.com.
