05sleeper
My girlfriend contacted me today saying her 14 cvt legacy sport automatically engaged the parking brake when she was backing up into a spot. I've checked for any TSB's and found none on this issue. I know there have been issues with them not wanting to disengage at times but was wondering if anyone else has had this issue while parking and the electronic parking brake just engage?? She said she did not accidentally hit it while parking. If it happens again I'll take it in for warranty but just wanted to see if anyone else had the same issue. thanks. FLlegacy
Did she have hill holder engaged by any chance?
Timothy.B
If the incline is steep enough I believe it auto engages but I would think that'd only be while in drive. I forgot to set it one time when I was had the front on stands (I did use wheel chocks, don't worry) and I was surprised to find that my car auto engaged the parking brake for me. 05sleeper
hmm yea it's strange because she said it wasn't a big incline at all but the hill holder light was on when she turned it off and back on and disengaged the parking brake.
