sumdumgai
Hello. My first post here and I'm hoping to get some good advice. I just noticed that there is some power steering fluid sitting in a little pool just behind and just below the power steering pump in a small depression on the engine block. No leakage yet on the garage floor and the reservoir is nearly full. Does anybody have an idea as to where this leak is? Is it the pump itself, where the pump mounts, the hose feeding the pump? Anything else? Thanks.
apexi
Possibly leaking from the o-ring at the top of the pump, where the plastic elbow is. Check out the thread below, that's a cheap and easy place to start. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/power-steering-o-ring-fix-197481.html
sumdumgai
Thanks for reply. From what I've read, the o-ring problem usually results in pump whining and/or bubbles in the reservoir. Is that always true?
