YeuEmMaiMai
well I am doing brakes and I need to know if I can substitute a regular caliper pin for the one that has the rubber on it. if all this is for is noise reduction I can live without it. the rubber has swollen and prevents free pin movement. RumbleRumble
It could jam, you can get a brake hardware kit at any local parts store for less that 20$ that comes with new slide pins w/boots and bolts.
YeuEmMaiMai
I know that, what I am asking is can I just use a regular caliper pin? on the bracket there is no physical difference between the holes and the pins are the same size and the rubber pin will easily fit in either hole. I am trying to avoid the rubber swell and jam my caliper part.
