Rennmeister
http://www.vikingspeedshop.com/subaru-avcs-explained/ Here's my latest article I wrote. Subaru has a great article on this, but I expanded it quite a bit further and oriented it more for our goals as enthusiasts.

Rennmeister
Hey guys, busy past few weeks for me (2 mo. old baby). Thanks for the insight on the Legacy models. I'll get that edited. It was surprisingly hard to put together that data. I had to rely on looking at engines and Subaru part codes and even that gave me trouble. Rennmeister
So a subaru can go full retard? Only when some engineer(s) decided to go with those crap cast pistons in the EJs The "full retard" is actually zero'd on the cam phase for the intake side.
