05legacysp
Got air in my power steering resevoir causing fluid to bubble out. No power steering right now. Bad pump?
WahooNo2
Did you just replace the pump or did you get air in the lines by letting the fluid run low? you can usualy bleed the power steering by turning the wheel lock to lock several times with the engine on
05legacysp
So... Here's the long version of the story. I'd been driving about 3 hours when I noticed a hesitation under load. Stopped, relaced plug wires... Problem solved. Went to throw away old plug wires noticed lots of liquid... Noticed it bubbling out of top of resevoir. Took the air box out to get to plug wires... PS hoses are down there... Anyway... No I haven't replaced the pump. It's possible it got low... Seems that there's a small leak somewhere as I've found myself putting a bit of fluid in it about once a month. Tried turning wheel lock to lock... Liquid just bubbles out. Doesn't fix problem. 05legacysp
I'd add I wasn't really having any issues with it until I stopped to change those plug wires. Don't know what I could have done to it during that process though
apexi
I had to replace my ps reservoir cap last year. That's the first place I would start, since the cap o-ring doesn't seem to be sealing anymore.

MaasaiWarrior
There is a gasket on the ps pump at the top, change that one out. I just did and it made a world of a difference.
