Talbz
When I finally found a LGT that wasn't completely trashed, I was happy to discover that the previous owner had installed Tein H lowering springs. Initially car rode great, but after about 20K miles, my rear tires have uneven tire wear primarily on the inside of the tire. I now have an enjoyable wub-wub-wub wub noise. After getting the suspension inspected, and bushings were noted as worn but not failed. All components 'Pass' visible inspection and road test. Now that I know that lowering springs are installed, what should I focus on upgrading in order to prevent future tire issues? Found the following parts on whiteline's site: KTA124 – Camber/Toe Correction Kit KCA307- Lock Bolt Kit KCA313 - Center/Bump Steer Kit Anyone have any experience with them or suggestions for correcting this issue? Talbz
Replaced cupped tires last week and still have a rhythmic noise that starts at about 40mph, then gets loudest between 55-60mph. Wheel bearing??
FPerron
I see no mention of your having an alignment done. That would be the first step.
08SpecB_DE
Sounds like a wheel bearing. Get the camber kit and have them installed when getting the alignment done. Lowering a car creates a lot of negative camber which can not always be corrected by factory adjustments.
Talbz
Thanks for the feedback. Alignment is scheduled, machine was down when tires were installed. I failed to mention that I had an alignment performed in December, which technician felt was the real reason for my tire wear. Also, can feel a bit of vibration in steering wheel while hearing the noise. Can't seem to hear a difference when attempting to load one side. Whats the average labor to replace a hub assembly? I have so many questions!!
